End of an Era:
To PA2 Members and Friends,
After nearly 7 years in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, the Asian American
Professionals of Dallas (PA2), as a stand-alone organization, is
dissolving and will no longer exist after May 2003.
PA2 has been in discussions with the Asian Pacific American-Young
Professionals Organization (APA-YPO), another group in Dallas, since
last fall. During these meetings, we discovered that both
organizations have similar goals and objectives and targeted the same
demographic. It was suggested that by pooling together our separate
experiences, talents, and assets, a new organization would be
stronger and more prominent than our 2 separate organizations.
Therefore, we are pleased to announce that PA2 and APA-YPO will merge
to form APEX - the Asian Professional Exchange of Dallas. The PA2
events you have become familiar with over the years will not
disappear. APEX events will be geared towards community service,
networking, professional development, and co-sponsorships with other
DFW organizations. With the additional resources, APEX now has the
opportunity to make those familiar events even better.
Please keep an eye out for our press release and an upcoming email
announcing APEX's Kickoff event on May 14 at Dave and Buster's. In a
week you will stop receiving emails from the PA2 mailing list. We
hope that you will sign up and join the new email list and continue
to provide APEX the support you have shown for PA2.

Finally, we would like to thank the many dedicated former and current
officers, members, volunteers, sponsors and all others who have been
an integral part of PA2 these past 7 years. The decision to dissolve
and merge to form a new group was a difficult one but we feel the
Dallas Asian American community will benefit greatly from APEX's
combined pool of resources. We have had a great journey and we look
forward to continuing it with APEX.
Best Regards,
PA2 Steering Committee
