With the Saturday, December 22nd signing of Chan Ho Park to the Texas Rangers , the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex became the only metropolitan area in the United States to feature an Asian sports celebrity in 3 major sports: Chinese-born Wang ZhiZhi of the Dallas Mavericks, Korean Chan Ho Park of the Texas Rangers, and Texas-born Vietnamese Dat Nguyen of the Dallas Cowboys.
