APEX EVENTS... 09/07 APEX After 5: Hurricane Katrina Relief Drive  collecting for Salvation Army and American Red Cross Date: Wednesday, September 7 , 2005 Location: Razzoo's Restaurant, Spring Valley & US 75 Time: 5:30pm-9pm Contact: Angela , angela@apexdallas.org The APEX Board extends its condolences to families & friends that have been affected by the recent events of the hurricane & flooding disasters of the Gulf region. In order to help those who are in refuge from Hurrican Katrina, APEX in Action is hosting a drive to collect money for the American Red Cross and bulk items for the Salvation Army. We are collecting clothes (used or new) and bottled water (gallon jugs/12oz/16oz) for the Salvation Army. Salvation Army does not need any more volunteers at this time but has asked for these urgent items. Razzoo's nine locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are taking donations for the Dallas chapter of the American Red Cross through Sept. 11. Diners will have the option to add a donation to their check or pay with cash. If everyone pitches in $25, 40 people can raise $1,000 for the hurricane relief. Think about it. We can make an impact and help those in this desperate situation. After the drive, we may need help taking these items & moving them to the Salvation Army (open Mon-Sat 8am-4pm and Sun 1pm-4pm). APEX in Action is the name for our Community Service part of the organization. We are dedicated and driven to volunteer for various community service projects. We're taking action by giving back to the area community. |
