The cold fronts are finally gone for good and it's time for us to have fun
in the sun! APEX members and non-members are invited to join us at Berkner
Park for a picnic and a friendly game of flag football. Please RSVP with
Wendy so we can get a headcount for food and drinks.
Directions to the Park:
Berkner park is located on the corner of Spring Valley and Yale,
East of Central Expressway/75. From 75, exit Beltline/Main Street
and turn EAST. Go straight on Beltline for 2.0 miles. Make a Right
onto Yale Road. Once you pass Spring Valley Road, the park is on
your right.

APEX proudly presents the 3rd Career Building seminar, "Analyze this!:
Careers in consulting" in conjunction with CIE-DFW.
Are you at the crossroads of your career? Does it seem impossible to break
the glass ceiling? Jack Miao will provide guidance to help you achieve your
career goals. You may submit questions for Mr. Miao ahead of time or ask
him in person. It's your evening, so pick some challenging questions that
will help YOU.
Biography of Mr. Jack Miao
Mr. Jack Miao has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunication industry.
He taught information systems courses at both secondary and university levels
in Montreal, prior to joining Nortel Networks in 1982. During his tenure
at Nortel, Jack held several executive positions including Global Product
Management and Asia Pacific Business Development. He responsibilities included
recruiting and developing highly technical and business personnel. He currently
teaches both MBA and BBA students in business communications at Southern
Methodist University.
Currently, Jack is the principal partner of Jack Miao & Associates, which
provides strategic planning and product positioning for
small/medium businesses in North America and Asia. Recently, Jack assumed
the President position of an emerging company, Mesophase, whose leading product
is the nano pearl body care solution.
Jack is also a long time board member of CIE-DFW. He is passionate about
providing guidance and mentorship to young professionals. He enjoys the individual
interactions that comes with career planning discussions.

Boat Festival & Race

The 8th Annual Dragon Boat Festival & Race are at Festival
Beach on Austin Town Lake. The race originates from China over 2000
years ago and is rich in tradition and pageantry. In addition to
the races, enjoy different Asian music and dance performance, martial
art demonstration, Lion Dance, wall climbing, Asian crafts sales,
traditional Asian foods, and much much more.
APEX Dallas invites you to spend the weekend with us in Austin. Please contact
