APEX EVENTS... 02/16/06 Mini-Lecture Series: Career Building Module I: Career in the restaurant business  Speaker: James S. Mr. Traister presently serves as an Analyst for Brinker International, a leader in the casual dining restaurant industry based in Dallas, Texas. In his present role Mr. Traister is responsible for providing analysis and guidance to the Chili's Finance, Marketing, Purchasing and Culinary teams. Jim has more than 17 years of extensive experience in the hospitality sector. His areas of expertise include operations and financial analysis. In addition, Ms. Kathleen Prawdzik, the Staffing Supervisor from Brinker International, will answer questions about interviewing/resume building/transferable skill sets. Please join us at Tony's for a wine class where an expert will lead you through the fine art of wine tasting by sampling a variety of wines. The staff will then section off an area for APEX so that we can have dinner and mingle. The cost for the class, wine, and dinner is usually $45/person, but since APEX is sponsoring this event, Tony's is granting us a discount. The price to attend is $20 for paid members, and $30 for non-members. This event is open to everyone. The restaurant is requiring a confirmed headcount, so they can properly prepare the class. Space is limited. An RSVP to Wendy by the afternoon of Monday, February 20 is required to guarantee a seat. |
