The Asian Film Festival of Dallas (AFFD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and supporting emerging and established Asian and Asian-American filmmakers. The AFFD provides multiple venues and opportunities for these projects to be showcased, including community activities and yearly film festival events.

Our annual centerpiece event is more than a festival event, the AFFD offers a combination of cultural experiences that fosters diversity in the Asian and International community in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. ATG Against The Grain Productions (ATG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded to produce films and media that educate and promote awareness and unity of Asian American culture and identity. A little out of the ordinary in our methods, we act as a traditional non-profit, using our projects to raise funds for international orphanages and promotion of Asian and Asian American cultural awareness and education. Every year, we deliver food, formula and medical supplies to needy orphanages in Saigon, Hue, and Danang.

Through a variety of compelling social issue based projects, such as documentaries like Operation Babylift: The Lost Children of Vietnam (www.thebabylift.com), PSAs, and educational outreach programs, we are innovative resource that gives voice to significant, yet untold stories in our community.
